About the Itsits

Children’s Edutainment in Motion
The ItsIts characters share their amusing stories and antics to educate and entertain (edutain) children.

The ItsIts were created to help teach counselors, teachers, and parents how to best address the emotional needs of children. The specific needs are; Self-Love, Self-Power, Intimacy/Communication, Solitude, Equality, and Influence.

Each ItsIt represents an emotional need. Becoming a self confident, capable and happy person requires the ability to identify and
understand each need and how they help to creative, positive coping skills.

Every day without thinking, all of us try to fulfill one or all of these needs. How we go about this task impacts how positively or negatively we think, feel, and act.

Each Itsit has a symbol in their stomach that changes whenever they face troubling situations. Which often happens in the island of Itsitville, home of the itsits.

Lurking in ItsItville, deep in the muddy swamp of the island, is K-OS the bully. K-OS delights in causing trouble and bullying the ItsIts. Through different scenarios presented in the Itsit books, children begin to absorb and understand better the six emotional needs to help them successfully deal with bullying or other types of difficult issues. Understanding this will help them make better decisions and choices.

Let's learn more about the wacky Itsits.
